UMKC students included in search for new dean

Students interested in who will next lead the University's College of Arts and Sciences have an opportunity to be heard. Interim Provost Bruce Bubacz has announced a student will be selected to participate in the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Search Committee.

Any College of Arts and Sciences student-graduate or undergraduate-is eligible to apply. To nominate yourself or another student submit a statement to the Arts and Sciences Student Council at umkcassc@umkc.edu. Students should include in the statement why they are both interested in a seat on the Dean's Search Committee and why they are qualified to represent students in this capacity. Also include year in school, degree program, phone number and e-mail address. Deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24., but Bubacz said the deadline is not set in stone, as a student will not be selected until the end of the week.
