Tyler said UMKC's 36-month implementation is a "really fast kick-off time." To aid with the further implementation of PeopleSoft, Tyler said the University is hiring a consulting firm.

"We will have one of the best consulting firms," Tyler said.

He also said the University earlier hired consulting firm Strider and Klein to perform a PeopleSoft assessment and that the firm allowed a "centralized approach to this implementation."

The schedule for integrating the program started with the Rolla campus; UMKC and Columbia will follow. The University of Missouri-St. Louis will be the last campus equipped with PeopleSoft.

The program, once fully in place, is expected to serve students more efficiently than the current system.

Tyler and Associate Registrar Doug Swink will meet with the Student Government Association, campus advisors, Faculty Senate and academic units to brief them on PeopleSoft.

To include students in the process there will be a UMKC PeopleSoft Kick-Off on Jan. 18 from 1-3 p.m. in Pierson Auditorium. The kick-off will feature demonstrations and tutorials of PeopleSoft.
