Junior guard Chazny Morris led UMKC's women's basketball team to a resounding victory over the Rockhurst University Hawks, 96-61, in an exhibition game Saturday afternoon at Swinney Rec. The match displayed some of the Roos' key strengths, weaknesses and new additions for the upcoming season opener.
The Roos took on the IUPUI Jaguars at home Friday night. Earlier in the season, the Roos took down the Jaguars 3-2, but Friday's outcome was different, as UMKC fell in four games against IUPUI. Sunday afternoon, the Roos faced WIU in a five-set match.
In a match with post-season implications on the line, the UMKC men's soccer team was on the short end of a 2-1 result Saturday afternoon against the Summit League top dogs from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich. Oakland midfielder Tom Catalono scored twice.
