UMKC dancers managed to stay active over the summer practicing their art. The dance program does not have classes over the summer, so dance students sharpen their skills in other venues such as workshops, dance camps, experimental venues or auditions to dance in professional companies.
For rock-obsessed Midwestern youth, the summer music festival is a rite of passage. Squeeze into a hot, crowded automobile with a few friends of similar musical appetites. Ben Stiller has a long history of ridiculously unfunny films. With that in mind, I expected a lot less from this Ben Stiller movie ,"Tropic Thunder." The satirical movie won't likely be a force at any talent-based awards show this year, but it does provide a few sketches of laugh-out-loud comedy.
