Clinton campaign moves town hall to Independence

Hillary's presence not certain

9:05 p.m. - Confirmation arrived this afternoon Hillary Clinton would be speaking at UMKC Saturday evening, but the schedule and program has since been modified, according to Tyler Thompson of the UMKC College Democrats. "The event for the Hillary Clinton Campaign has changed somewhat," Thompson said this evening. "The event was moved from Swinney gym [Swinney Recreation Center, UMKC] to the William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri, and it's believed that Bill Clinton instead of Hillary Clinton will be the event speaker."

Winter break did little to cool the heated debate about a new Student Union. Students are still fighting against the Student Union referendum which passed last November by 39 votes. But instead of vocal protests, this time a group of students sent e-mails to the University of Missouri System (UM) Board of Curators.

Quiznos open for business on Hospital Hill

Franchise owner Deborah Washam has opened the new Quiznos in the lower level of the UMKC Hospital Hill Parking Garage.
