Hot hand by Brumagin sparks Kangaroo victory

The Kangaroos were talking streak after a 77-66 romp against the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Owls Nov. 26 at Municipal Auditorium. UMKC junior guard Dane Brumagin dropped 21 points in the effort, including a five-minute stretch in which he scored 16 of his team's 18 points.

Roadrunners zip past Roos 73-61

Unwittingly cast in the Wile E. Coyote role Thursday evening in the Lone Star State, the Kangaroos were outdone by the Roadrunners of the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA), 73-61. UMKC junior guard Dane Brumagin led the Roos with 17 points, while senior forward Brent Stephens tallied 13 and freshman guard Reggie Hamilton added 10 in the losing effort.

Roos put five players on All-Summit roster

Highlighted by sophomore midfielder Bryan Perez' first team selection, UMKC posted five players on the 2007 All-Summit League Men's Soccer team. Joining Perez were juniors Garret Guthrie and Brian Harris, who, along with freshman John Bayron Sosa, represented a trio of Kangaroo forwards receiving Summit League second-team accolades.

For those of you who have not been watching much football this year, the New England Patriots are really good and the Miami Dolphins are really bad. If you have any Patriots on your fantasy roster, you're probably in pretty good shape. If you have any Dolphins, I pity you because although I'm a complete fantasy dork, I cannot name a single player on Miami's active roster.

Picconi puts faith first
