The Roos fell in a 2-3 loss to the Eagles Saturday night in what ORU fans were saying was probably the most intense game for them this season. The men's golf team found its stroke last week at the UT Arlington Fall Classic at the Waterchase Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas. The Kangaroos took 3rd place in the field of 15, shooting a score of 874 (292-286-296). Freshman Neil Horsley made an impressive showing in the Lone Star state with a 4th place finish.
The UMKC women's golf team struggled to a 15th place at the Oral Roberts University Shootout, which concluded Oct. 2 at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. UMKC finished the event with a three-day score of 1027 (338-339-350). Sophomore Sally Meiners continued her impressive play while leading the team with a final mark of 248 (83-79-86).
The UMKC intramural flag football tournament gave teams around campus an opportunity to come out for their prospective organizations. Each weekend they tested their skills in spirited competition on the field just behind Swinney Recreation Center. Campus football enthusiasts eagerly anticipated the tournament.
