Roos forget manners, upend Ladies

Junior guard Brittny Picconi scorched the opposition for a season high 22 points, spearheading the University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos to a 64-57 victory over Centenary College last Monday night at Swinney Recreation Center. Picconi scored 10 points in the paint, went six for seven from the free-throw line, and popped two successful second-half treys for the Roos in her most productive offensive effort of the season.

The UMKC women fell prey to Oakland University, suffering their second conference loss in lopsided fashion to the Grizzlies, 67-47, in Rochester, Mich., Saturday afternoon. The Grizzlies broke the game open with a 21-7 run before halftime and held a substantial lead throughout the remainder of the game.
