As a black woman mixed up in the dating scene, I am unsure about my romantic future. I never used to listen to the cynical older women I've encountered in my lifetime through work, family and friends.
Wrapping up a semester's worth of, to quote a reader, "Brave, up to date and fair [reporting]," it is a good time to plan for the future. I'd like to have said readership has been on the rise since the U-News changed things around a bit early this semester, but until now there hasn't been a great way to justify that statement.
The national network evening news is the same insult every night: 24 minutes of useless fluff. It doesn't matter if it's with Williams, Couric or Gibson. There is no substance, no identity, and, most importantly, no real, hard news in these programs. And some people actually believe they are being informed when they watch this drivel.
