'A Christmas Carol' is a holiday treat

By Brittany Lane

The holiday season would not be complete without the Kansas City Repertory Theatre's annual presentation of "A Christmas Carol." This year marks the Rep's 26th production of Charles Dickens' classic tale. Even in 2006, Ebenezer Scrooge, the ghosts, and Tiny Tim are still as entertaining as ever.

Attention: Music maniacs

By Jordan Kerfeld

Wolfgang's Vault has been my favorite Web site of the past few months, mainly because of my affinity for the classic music of the '60s and '70s. The Web site, www.wolfgangsvault.com, is an outlet for me to escape into a world I unfortunately didn't have a chance to grow up in.

These folks, who wanted to transcend the daily issues of art and music, decided to put together a series of events to deal with the convergence between the two.

Commercialism begets Scrooges

By Nadine Anheier
