Mysterious Undertakings Book Discussion: This week's discussion is about the novel Web of Evil. The discussion starts at 6:30 p.m., at the Kansas City Public Library, Waldo Branch, 201 E. 75th St.

Poets on CD Release Party: Reading and celebration starts at 7 p.m., at the Johnson County Library, 8975 W. 87th St., Overland Park, Kan.

GlobeMed Meeting: This special dessert night meeting is from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., in the Oak Street residence hall classroom.

True Brits: This is the first in a series of British film screenings to be held at 6:30 p.m., at the Kansas City Public Library, Central Branch, 14 W. 10th St.



Tuesday, Sept. 9

Black Diamond Heavies: Musical performance at 8 p.m., at the Riot Room, 4048 Broadway Blvd.

Pakistani Student Association: PSA is having an Itfar party from 7:15 to 9 p.m., in the Oak Street dorm basement.

Wreckless Rick and Amy Rigby: Musical performance at 8 p.m., at Knuckleheads, 2715 Rochester St., $12.

Kansas City Symphony: A string quartet will be playing a free show at noon, at the Kansas City Public Library, Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.



Wednesday, Sept. 10

ASUM State and Federal Internship: Informational meeting starts at 4:30 p.m., in University Center, room 117.

Home Cooked Favorites: Enjoy some food picked by the Student Board of Governors from 4:30 to 7 p.m., in the Union Cafeteria.

The National Urban Gang Peace, Justice and Empowerment Summit: This event is held over four days, starting at 8 a.m., at 40 Acres and a Mule at Swope Park, 6600 Swope Parkway.

Women's Soccer Club: Informational meeting starts at 8 p.m., in Swinney Rec.
