Tuesday, Sept. 2

Dance in the Park: Performance art starts at 6 p.m., Loose Park.

KC Zoo: If you have time to burn and you love animals, you should take a trip to the Kansas City Zoo, 63rd Street and Swope Parkway. Admission is only $8 per person today.

Roo Volleyball: Come support your Roos at 7 p.m., as they face off against Morgan State in Swinney Rec Center.

Wednesday, Sept. 3

Second Annual MBC-MCA Open House: The MindBody Connection and Multicultural Student Affairs are having their open house from 4 to 6 p.m., University Center, room 161.

Ask-a-Nurse: Do you have an itch that won't go away and you and your roommate just can't figure it out? Well Ask-a-Nurse can help! The Ask-a-Nurse will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the MindBody Connection, University Center, room 161.

Lance Armstrong: One of America's greatest success stories, Lance Armstrong, is speaking at 10:30 a.m. at Hale Arena, 1701 American Royal Ct., $37.50.




Thursday, Sept. 4

Reggae Night: The night's featured artist is AZ One. Show starts at 9:30 p.m. at The Levee, 16 W. 43rd St.

John Paul's Flying Circus, featuring Bill Dye and Shinetop Jr.: Musical performance at 7 p.m. at B.B.'s Lawnside BBQ, 1205 E. 85th St., $5 cover.

College Night: Take a trip to the Power and Light District to enjoy College Night at Howl at the Moon starting at 8 p.m. Bring your student ID for free admission!

Friday, Sept. 5

Bohemian DJazz: Musical performance featuring Wee Snuff and The Red Shirt Theory from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Lyric Opera Warehouse, 18th and Charlotte streets, $10.

John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Bernard Allison: Musical performance at 9 p.m. at Knuckleheads Saloon, 2700 Rochester St., $20 in advance, $30 at the door.

APC First Friday: Meet the bus at 7 p.m., at the University Atrium to go to the Crossroads Art District.

Fourth Annual Crossroads Music Fest: Musical performances across six stages starts at 11 a.m. at 16th Street and McGee Street.

Wanda Jackson: Musical performance at 10 p.m. at Knuckleheads Saloon, 2700 Rochester St., $18.

Dance in the Park: Performance art starts at 7 p.m., Roanoke Park.

Green Festival: All day and all night music for all begins at 2 p.m. on the outdoor stage of Dave Lizor's Jammin Place, 6304 E. 58th St., $10.

Sunday, Sept. 7

Rock the Vote: Free concert featuring Ludo, Carolina Liar and the Wombats from 2 to 10 p.m. at the Power and Light District, 14th Street and Grand Avenue.

Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale: Sale starts at 9:30 a.m. at the City Market, 400 Grand St. Most books are under $5.00.
