Where to find the best coffee around campus

Abstract:
Coffee can be made into a special, complex treat with a combination of steam and pressure. It's called espresso. When espresso is combined with frothy, steamed milk, it becomes a new creation altogether, the latte.

It can be fun to rediscover the basics of coffee specialty drinks....

Nice article. :)

I love reading about local coffee shops. Although I could have sworn there was an article just like this a year or two ago...I only remember because I made a comment on that one too. Lol.

I really like the article and don't have a problem with a new article update on local coffee shops once a year. I agree with most of the reviews except for one. The Coffee Break on Troost was sold short. I like this coffeehouse and think it is one of the best in KC and close to campus ta boot. I like the "non sterile" atmosphere....with an eclectic selection of furniture and artwork. It feels homey and I can say they tea selection is great! I love the honey ginseng green tea and their sandwiches-panini style are really good. I really like their latte, I am not much for cappuccino or espresso and don't weight either very much in my determination of a coffee shop. The other great thing about Coffee Break is that the owner is a good corporate citizen. The Coffee Break is home to a farmers market on weekends, local music offerings, and a huge supporter of Tulips on Troost. Have you seen their tulip garden and bench right off the side walk? So this weekend I sat on the bench with my lovely tea and camera soaking up our urban beauty. This coffee shop is one of my favorites. rkj
