Newsweek editor speaks at UMKC:

Abstract:
Eleanor Clift came to UMKC to discuss the Terry Schiavo case, not because it is still relevant, but because while Schiavo lay dying in the hospital, Clift's husband was also dying.

So, did Mrs. Clift order a brutal, painful, 13-day execution by starvation for her husband, too?

Ms. Clift cannot possibly believe there is a common thread between her husbands death from a deadly disease and Terri Schiavo's death from starvation.

The only way they could be similar is if she expedited her husband's demise once she determined he no longer wished to live with the discomfort of the disease.
