Holiday Concert: The Kansas City Symphony Community Connections Series presents the Kansas City Brass Holiday Concert at 6:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Public Library, Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Dead Rock West with the Knitters: Musical performance at 8:30 p.m. at Davey's Uptown Rambler's Club, 3402 Main St., $20.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Conservatory Wind Ensemble: This musical performance starts at 7:30 p.m. in White Recital Hall and is free to UMKC staff and students with ID.

Broomball: Yes, broomball. The game where it's all good until someone gets hurt, then it's AWESOME. Games start at 8 p.m. at Pepsi Ice Midwest, 12140 W. 135th St., Overland Park, Kan., $10.

Surplus Property Auction: Surplus furniture, office, computer and lab equipment is for sale. Viewing starts at 9 a.m., auction starts at 10 a.m. and is open to the public at 1122 E. 48th St.
