Good Morning Roos: Starting at 7:30 a.m., members of APC will be greeting students around campus with a welcome treat - breakfast snacks and information about other upcoming events.

Royals: Support your local baseball team and go watch the Kansas City Royals play the Cleveland Indians. Game starts at 7:10 p.m. at Kauffman Stadium.

Lil Wayne: He's coming to Kansas City and he's bringing Soulja Boy and Young Jeezy. See them perform at 7 p.m. at Starlight Theatre.

Textbook Pick-up: If you signed up for Early Bird Textbook Reservation, this is the last day to pick up your order from the UMKC Bookstore.

Tuesday, Aug. 25

Commuter Student Welcome: This APC welcome event starts at 11 a.m. in Royall Hall.

Women's Center: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. stop by the Women's Center, Haag Hall room 105. Enjoy free lemonade and ice cream sandwiches and see for yourself why the Women's Center is a great place to hang out and relax while meeting friends and making a difference.

Fashion Show: The Pan-Hellenic council will be putting on a Fashion Show from 6 - 9 p.m. at the University Playhouse.

Career Psychic: The career psychic from Career Services will provide students with insights into their academic future from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Quad.

APC Poster Sale: From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside of the University Center bookstore APC will be selling posters.

Pan-Hellenic Orientation: Join the Pan-Hellenic Council from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Pierson Auditorium for the Sorority Recruitment Orientation and PJ Party.

Win a free laptop: Last day to register to win a free laptop at the University Bookstore.

Back to school drawing: The lucky winner of a free Dell laptop will be chosen at 9 a.m. at the University Bookstore. You do not have to be present to win. Sunset Safari: Spend an evening in Africa! The Sunset Safari is from 4-8 p.m. at the Kansas City Zoo, $5.

City Market Cinema: Enjoy the nighttime weather and watch a movie in the park. Show starts at 9 p.m. in the City Market, 3rd and Main streets.

Bobby Watson Presents: Diverse CD Release Party. Diverse is a creative and dynamic musical powerhouse. Show celebrates the release of their new CD at 7 p.m. in the Blue Room at the American Jazz Museum.

Critical Mass Bicycle Parade: This free bicycle run takes place on the last Friday of every month in different cities around the world. This month it is in Kansas City.
